This ghostly image was taken by a man attending a dinner party in Maurach, Austria. Captured in 1988, the friends sitting at the table could not identify the strange woman who seems to have invited herself to sit at their table. The camera was placed on a table next to the group and took two consecutive photos..One with flash and one without. The one without the flash is what captured the creepy image of the mysterious woman.
Although the ghost picture at first glance looks like it may be a simple case of double exposure, it was examined by the Royal Photographic Society and the photographic department of Leicester University. The conclusion? Double exposure was ruled out as the cause. The first picture can be seen below and was snapped immediately after the first one above.
