Dead Or Alive: $2000 Reward Offered For Capture Of Vampire

Politicians in the town of  Dharampuri in Tamil Nadu, have made an official offer of 100,000 rupees (around 2,000 US dollars) to anyone who can bring them a real vampire. Locals have been frightened recently, by mysterious attacks on cows during the night, in which the animals blood has been completely drained. The attacks have been blamed on Ratha Kaatteri, otherwise known as a vampire.

Although the locals have been protecting themselves with holy signs painted on doors and messages left for the vampire, not to enter their home, politicians have seen this in an entirely different way. They believe that the strange animal attacks are due to modern day bootleggers, who are hoaxing the vampire attacks in an attempt to keep people indoors after dark.

It is a big hoax. Anti-socials whose illegal night activities such as bootlegging and liquor brewing have been disturbed are spreading rumours and killing cattle. Since people are not willing to believe us, we have challenged them with this reward.

– Politician O. Jayaraman

Although the politicians remain non believers, others are very frightened by the recent outbreak of attacks. Either way something has caused a vampire scare near Dharampuri. Whether the events have been normal, or paranormal is up for debate. So far, nobody has attempted to claim the reward.
